Altia – the UK’s leading provider of information and intelligence software – has today announced, following an external technical verification in February, it has achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed scheme designed to help organisations protect themselves and their customers from a whole range of cyber attacks. Cyber Essentials Plus certification not only gives organisations and their customers peace of mind that the right cyber attack defences are in place, but that they have also been checked and verified through a hands-on technical audit.
The independent verification was performed by Mitigate Cyber Limited.
Rainier Vergara, Head of Product Security, said:
“Cyber Essentials Plus is the latest addition to a range of information security standards we have achieved. Most recently we gained ISO27001 recertification in September last year.
“Everything we do here at Altia is built with security in mind. We’ve adopted a highly secure, scalable and on-demand cloud-first approach to bring our public and private sector customers the most innovative and trustworthy investigation solutions.”
Rob Sinclair, CEO, Altia said:
“I’m proud of all our achievements at Altia, but never more than when we gain another information security standard.
“Our software is used by a vast range of organisations to help them manage investigations, governance and risk. Our sole purpose is to support those who protect us – as a member of the public, as a citizen in our communities, as customers of businesses, and even as employees. That starts with protecting information, data and intelligence.”
