Altia, the UK’s leading provider of information and intelligence software, has received accreditation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
The accreditation follows an independent evaluation by ICAEW assessors covering functionality, security, usability and support. It recognises the Financial Investigation Toolkit (FIT) as meeting the standard chartered accountants expect from professional software and strengthens Altia’s position as a trusted provider in the financial investigation space.
ICAEW accreditation is a recognised benchmark for software across the accountancy profession. For Altia, it signals something specific: investigation technology that Altia builds for police and government now carries the stamp of the body that regulates over 174,000 Chartered Accountants worldwide.
Dan Speed, CEO at Altia, said:
“Our customers work in environments where the detail matters.
Whether they are supporting an insolvency review, a fraud investigation, an asset recovery case or a public sector counter-fraud operation, they need technology that is practical, auditable and built around real investigative workflows. This accreditation supports our continued commitment to that evidential standard.”
Altia’s Financial Investigation Toolkit is used by every police force in the UK to analyse financial data, trace transactions and build evidence for prosecution. Work that once meant weeks of manual statement reviews is completed in hours with a full audit trail throughout.
Rick Asiyani, Head of Commercial Partnerships at ICAEW, added:
“Altia’s Financial Investigation Toolkit has completed the ICAEW accreditation process and has been added to our accredited software directory.
For software supporting financial investigation and evidential work, areas such as functionality, security and reliability are important considerations. The accreditation provides an independent assessment against defined criteria to help users when evaluating available solutions.”
